UBELAND Day Two: Smorgasburg Prospect Park Continues the Celebration

Smorgasburg Prospect Park will continue the UBELAND celebration on Sunday, June 16, at Prospect Park, Brooklyn, NY. The event is free to attend, but RSVPs are encouraged to help ensure the best possible experience for all guests.

Timed to coincide with Philippines Independence Day, UBELAND Day Two builds on the success of Day One at Smorgasburg Williamsburg, offering another opportunity to celebrate Filipino food and culture. This year’s event is a significant expansion of the ongoing partnership between Smorgasburg and Philippines Fest, promising a larger and more exciting celebration.

The focus of the event is on ube, the purple yam that is a staple in Filipino cuisine and has become popular globally. The celebration will feature 10 special guest vendors alongside Smorgasburg’s regular all-star lineup, all serving dishes centered around ube. Featured vendors include:

Attendees can enjoy ube in both sweet and savory preparations, ranging from traditional dishes to modern interpretations. The event will also feature live karaoke and other cultural activities, providing a comprehensive celebration of Filipino culture.
