UBELAND Day One: Smorgasburg Williamsburg Celebrates Filipino Culture

Smorgasburg Williamsburg will host UBELAND Day One, a celebration of Filipino food and culture, on Saturday, June 15 at 90 Kent Avenue, Brooklyn, NY. The event, timed to coincide with Philippines Independence Day, is free to enter, but attendees are encouraged to RSVP to ensure the best possible experience for everyone.

This year’s UBELAND event is an expansion of the ongoing partnership between Smorgasburg and Philippines Fest, promising a larger, more vibrant celebration than ever before. The highlight of the event is the focus on ube, the indigenous purple yam that is beloved in the Philippines and has gained popularity worldwide.

The festivities will feature 20 special guest vendors showcasing ube in both sweet and savory dishes. Participants can look forward to a diverse array of offerings from traditional to modern vendors. Some of the featured vendors include:
